East Indian Walnut Tree Trunk Conference Table

Could you envision this magnificent piece in the middle of a grand hotel lobby?

This very large East Indian Walnut table is a work-in-progress (I will update this entry as work progresses). The final piece will have large over-lapping circular Rosewood burl cross section inlays filling and cleaning up the jagged burnt out end sections and holes. The top will be finished to bring out the brilliance of the grain/burl. The edges/sides and base will remain natural. I found this wood in Central Thailand in the back of a barn covered with plant over-growth and mud.
